Overview

This role is responsible for client relationship on a day-to-day basis, managing junior team members, and owning the understanding of both client and The Community business objectives to create a successful business partnership. In this role, you will lead the relationship between the agency and the client to ensure the client's needs and goals are being met on a variety of ATL + BTL campaigns across traditional, digital and social. Additionally, you will lead client presentations as well as oversee client's ad budget. As VP, Group Account Director, you will be responsible for bringing to life integrated campaigns across traditional channels, digital, mobile and retail. You will provide fertile territory to pioneer innovative creative work. Moreover, you will utilize solid advertising and brand marketing leadership experience on exemplary brands as well as the knowledge, the ideas and the energy to create world class work. Serving as the primary client advisor on strategic marketing and communications, you will manage the relationship with client management, establishing project expectations and negotiating deliverables. You will also be responsible for developing and managing initiatives that grow the client's and the agency's business.

Qualifications

  • 10-14 years of fast-paced advertising agency experience in an Account/Brand Director or equivalent role.
  • Must be fluent in English & Spanish
  • Must have experience managing and collaborating with remote teams.
  • Must have experience with new business and pitching to clients
  • Must be able to handle pressure well and remain flexible to work under especially tight deadlines.
  • Must possess strong project management skills with strong leadership/supervisory skills.
  • Must have experience within the US General Market sector.
  • Must have global experience.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Keynote.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, detail oriented skills.
  • Flexible to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as active and centralized leader of brand development and momentum
  • Build trusted relationships with senior clients to guide the business and the overall client/agency working relationship.
  • Understand and teach the team the mechanics of the creative process and how to get to the best work.
  • Understand agency initiatives and how they relate to client business (i.e. Social, Innovation, Connections, etc.)
  • Help manage relationships across agency departments.
  • Manage/Mentor your team -­‐ identifying opportunities for growth and overall support.
  • Assist brand Supervisors in mastering the art of delivering client feedback to creatives
  • Write and critique high-­level presentations and own the process with Planners and Creatives
  • Oversee all legal clearance, business affairs and production items (talent, music rights, licensing, edits, lifts) with Brand Supervisor support.
  • Have a working knowledge of the client’s media strategy/plan and ability to the agency’s perspective on media (along with CX team).
  • Lead the Conversation
  • Ability to concisely and effectively communicate the agency’s point of view and teach this skill to other members of the agency team.
  • Be an active listener (both internally and especially with clients), demonstrating real-­time problem solving (in tandem with CD/ECD).
  • Understand how to help develop a client scope of work and how to build a team around that.
  • Monitor scope (including reconciliation reports) and identify and manage scope creep or opportunities for expansion.
  • Demonstrate a command presence with the internal team as well as the client.
  • Own research/testing processes with Planner.
  • Partner with Planners on discussion guide development and with Creatives on research materials/stimulus
  • Actively participate in making the work great through a combined filter of client needs and creative excellence
  • Keep the team informed and inspired (i.e. de-­‐briefings after big client meetings).
  • Own management and training of brand supervisors (i.e. timely and constructive feedback & reviews).

Compensation Range: $175,000-$220,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
